【Project Outline About This Website】

Purpose:

• This website will serve as my web design and programming portfolio. Each page highlights a different aspect of my experience, including programming languages, database management systems, and web design. The site provides contact information and a link to my LinkedIn page to make it easy for recruiters to contact me.

Structure:

• 【Header】
  • Left: main menu which includes 5 navigations:HOME, PROGRAMMING,DATABASE,WEBPAGE and ABOUT. 4 of them have submenu. submenu which is aligned to the left and list all the details of the main menus
  • Right: side contains a page view counter.
• 【Center】
  1. list my name, together with my piccture
  2. there is a short paragraph introducing the site
  3. there is a link to a Contact page which ask the audience to ask questions
• 【Footer】
  • Left: my phone number
  • Center: a link to my LinkedIn page
  • Right: my email address

Audience:

• The intended audience is recruiters and future colleagues. To appeal to recruiters, the site will highlight skills that are useful across a wide range of programminng jobs. To appeal to future colleagues, the site will contain interesting examples of my past work.

CSS and Look:

• The site will have a professional look, with white text against a dark background. The layout of the site will showcase the breadth of my experience, because there will be multiple dropdown menus at the top, each of which focuses on a different aspect of software engineering and web design.

SEO Keywords:

• Keywords I will use are: "software engineer portfolio", "computer science portfolio", "web design portfolio", "programming", "Java", "C++", "SQL", "Python"
• Searching for "software engineer portfolio" returned the site brittanychiang.com, which is similar to my planned site. Searching for "computer science portfolio" returned the site meganlandau.com/portfolio-1, which is also similar to my planned site.
